Tuesday Bee

I spent the day at my Bee making baby quilt kits for our local hospital.  We had a great time and got about 35 kits made.  My husband used to do all the cutting for us.  Boy, was he missed today.  Bee is every Tuesday at one of the local community centers.  I won’t be able to go next Tuesday as it’s my Brunswick Quilters quilt guild board meeting.  As co-chair of the outreach committee, I go to every other board meeting.  I would much rather not have to do those meetings, and just sew and have fun, but I love working with this committee and Janet and I have worked together like this for a few years now.  We get a lot done and make a good team.

I finally have my TV room set up.  Just waiting for my new curtains.  I am getting rid of the blinds. After 11 years here I am ready for a change.  And they are so hard to keep clean.  I hate housework. It’s never ending.  Sound familiar?  Well now it’s just me here so I have no one to answer to but myself.

My friend Janet left today to go up north to visit family.  I am dog sitting Digger.  He’s a black lab who is ancient.  He’s the sweetest thing.  She usually takes him with her, but she is flying up this trip instead of driving.  Janet has watched my Gracie when I have had to go out of town.  She and Digger are great friends.  They are so cute together.  He doesn’t do much anymore, but she likes to keep at him until he pays attention to her.

I am hoping to get a little sewing done tomorrow.  I want to get the first couple of blocks done to Pat Sloan’s mystery so that I am caught up.  It’s going into the low 70’s tomorrow.  Now that’s the kind of winter weather I love.

Do something that makes you happy today.
