If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?

If I could have an endless supply of any food it would be chocolate ice cream.  It is my all time favorite snack.  I have been known to have it for my supper.  I know, not exactly nutritious, but hey, it makes me happy.  🙂

List at least five movies or books that cheer you up.

It would be easier for me to name a genre or author than the actual titles of either.  I have never been able to remember titles of books or movies let alone names of movie stars.  I can also start watching a movie in the middle of it and still enjoy it.  So, all that being said there are a couple of titles I do know.

The Bells of St. Mary’s is my all-time favorite movie.  It is a great reminder of my childhood and my elementary school days.  I watch it at least twice a year.

I loved the movie MASH.  I can’t say that it made me happy exactly, I just liked it.  I was dating a Corpsman in the navy at the time.

Then, there’s McLintock with John Wayne and Maureen Ohara.  I laugh every time I see it.  It makes me think of my dad.  I went to see it with my dad and he laughed so loudly that the whole theatre was laughing because he was laughing.

As for books that make me happy, well any book that I am reading while sitting on the beach with my feet in the surf.  🙂  But I loved the Silver Chalice, all of the Harry Potter books, and the Alphabet series by Sue Grafton.

If you were a mouse in your house in the evening, what would you see your family doing?

If I were a mouse in my house in the evening, I would see me either sewing, crocheting or watching TV with Gracie at my feet or snuggled up next to me on the couch.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

This past Thursday my number came up to have an accident.  I was driving along minding my own business when I saw something dart into the road. I swerved and hit a very high concrete curb.  Needless to say, I killed my tire.

I was very appreciative that if I was destined to have an accident, it was one as minor as this.  So although I had to drive on the flat for two miles I had a big smile on my face because no one was hurt.  I had Gracie in the car with me as I was bringing her home from her vet appointment.  She had gotten vaccinated and about a mile into the drive on the dead tire, she began to throw up.  I could definitely have done without that added to the drama, but I was still smiling.  🙂

Here are the questions and my answers for Cee’s Share Your World this week.

What is your earliest memory?  My earliest memory is from about three years old.  I remember my mother and I had matching swimming suits with gingerbread men on them.  Mine had a ruffle around the bottom.  I can remember sitting on the step of the kid’s pool at our local LPRA.

Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?  Ahh, this has been the subject of a lot of debate.  In my house, the toilet paper goes over.  When I got married, my husband insisted it go under.  I told him that since I was the one who replaced most often, and cleaned the bathroom, it would go over.  So, our entire marriage the roll went over.

What makes you feel grounded?  I feel grounded when I go to Mass.  If I miss for one reason or other on Sunday, I feel as though part of me is missing.  Going to church makes me feel as if I am a part of something so much bigger than my small little world.  I feel the love of the Lord deep in my soul.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.  What I really appreciated this past week was having my Gracie home with me.  My dear friend was keeping her while I was away.  Last Tuesday she came home.  She hasn’t left my side since except when she needs to go out.   Here she is.  🙂
