I just got home from my visit with my son and his family in Miami Beach.  What a great time I had. Isabella is starting to walk and is just so cute.  It was so nice to get reacquainted with her.  She sees me all the time on face time, but in person she was a little shy at first.  By the time I left we were great friends.

For Isabella’s birthday, her Aunt Kelly made her a tutu.  It is so cute.  Here is my little angel in it.

On Monday we went to the Miami Zoo.  It was such a nice day to be out walking.  The animals were all so cooperative and active.  I fed a giraffe.  It was pretty cool.  Isabella had fallen asleep before we got to them.

I hated to leave Isabella in Miami.  It’s just awful when you live far from your grandchildren.  I finally got my other three living close to me and now I have another one so far away.

My flight home yesterday was just awful.  I was at the airport at 6:30 in the morning.  After boarding the plane, we sat there for over 2 hours.  Then deplaned!  Sat in the terminal for another hour before boarding the same plane again.  Finally took off, but missed my connecting flight.  By the time I got into Wilmington, it was 4 in the afternoon.  My suitcase didn’t arrive until later and was delivered sometime last night.  It was a very long day.  Needless to say I won’t be getting much done today.
Except maybe some laundry.  I leave again on Friday for Alannah’s dance competition for the weekend.

Glad to be home.
