2017 Mystery Quilt – Children’s Lirbrary

I am participating in Pat Sloan’s Mystery Quilt this year. The name is Children’s Library.  I think it will make a cute quilt for my granddaughter Isabella.  My favorite book when I was a little girl was Mr. Dog.  When I would visit my grandmother, she would read it to me all the time.  I wore the book out.  It literally fell apart.  A few years ago, Gary found it and picked it up for me.  Here’s the picture of the book and the fabrics I will be using for my mystery.

I am using a fat quarter bundle of Moda’s Sock Monkey.  I had picked this up on sale a few years ago and was going to make a quilt out of it for my son.  That never happened, but he’ll get it anyway, Isabella is his daughter.  Look at the face of that dog on the cover of this book.  I think it’s so cute.
This mystery runs over 10 months, so it’s only 1 block a month.  My goal is to begin to sew 1 hour a day.  I haven’t done much sewing, except for Christmas gifts in quite a while.  It’s time I get going on it again.
