Day 13 Of My Whole30 Challenge.

This was my supper tonight.  Warm greens salad with red peppers, onions, garlic and sauteed coconut shrimp.  It was so good.  I am doing fine with this new paleo lifestyle.  I have lost over 10 pounds, I have more energy, and I haven’t had a dose of insulin in 13 days.  My blood sugar has been 98 to 112. I am so excited.  I am hoping when I see my doctor next week he tells me my blood pressure looks good too.  I haven’t seen much of a difference with my fibromyalgia pain yet, but I am very hopeful that the change will help me there too.

This is a picture of a cardboard advertising sign from the bar connected to the restaurant where Gary used to work. Anyway, I am a big Kenny Chesney fan. So one night Gary brought this home, they were going to throw it out, so he grabbed it. (anyone who knew him knows he would never walk away from a free treasure) I was out, and when I got home he had it standing in the living room. Well, first of all it really startled me. But then I realized what it was and got a good chuckle out of it. I was going to throw it away, and he was having none of it. Well that has to have been at least 7 or 8 years ago. As many of you know, Gary passed away this past August. Well slowly but surely I am getting the house de-cluttered. I moved his chest of drawers and what is staring me in the face? You guess it, Kenny Chesney. I had forgotten all about it. So, today I wanted to move my mother’s dry sink into my new TV room. Not a new room, just a new purpose for it. It was so heavy, so I had a brain storm. I grabbed Kenny, put him face down and got the dry sink on top of the cardboard. That sucker just slid right into the room with hardly any effort. So, my problem is….what do I do with Kenny Chesney. I am not sure I can get rid of him now. After all he was such a help. I can see Gary shaking his head and saying “See I told you not to throw that away.”

Have a good evening!
